We are almost through the week!
Thursday means it is time for day 12: don’t forget to dance. Of course, I want you to dance again today! You can either dance to your own song and beat or you could indulge a little flashback below:

Now that the ‘sillies’ are out, let’s get to it
Today, I want to spend most of this space sharing resources I have come across when it comes to building habits. The more prominent being Gretchen Rubin. She is considered a “expert on happiness and good habits”. Since today is cardio day, I thought it would be fitting to share some of her books and podcasts that you could listen to during your walk, run, bike ride, etc…
So here are her books that I have read:
Happier at Home
For this book, Gretchen creates a plan for focusing on a different area of life each month. Within each month, she has action items that she completes in order to help foster happiness in that area of life. I think part of the reason that I enjoyed this book so much is because I felt like I related to Gretchen quite a bit. This resulted in a lot of her reflection and advice to be meaningful to me. Overall, I found it to be a fun read and I enjoyed her style of writing.
Better Than Before
This book focuses on one of my strange fascinations: habits. I am one of those people who find habit building easier than most. I decide I want to do something every day and I do. If I fall off or get derailed, I easily pick myself back up and get on track again. The book starts off with a chapter on knowing yourself and how it is important to know what works for you and what doesn’t in terms of forming habits. Specifically, Gretchen Rubin talks about the concept of the Four Tendencies and how it relates to your readiness and willingness to meet expectations.

She also has a podcast! This is actually how I first discovered her work. If you prefer to listen to a podcast during your cardio, you can check it out!

Now get moving!
If I haven’t made it clear enough yet, do some cardio today. Bike, walk, run, dance, anything! Just move your body, please.
